Due to changes implemented by the TRNC Government, every foreign purchaser (or their nominee) must now supply proof that they have no previous criminal convictions. This applies to the person(s) in whose name(s) the Purchase Permit Application is to be been done, i.e. every applicant must obtain a “Character Certificate” from the Metropolitan Police Service.

An application must be made to the National Identification Service at New Scotland Yard in order for any information held on the Police National Computer to be released.

In order to do this you must complete Metropolitan Police Service Form 3019B, which may be obtained from your local police station.

You will receive your Character Certificate in around six weeks from applying.
